Dr. Fabiano de Andrade-Correa

LL.B. (Porto Alegre, Brazil), M.A. in International Relations (Madrid), LL.M. (European University Institute), Ph.D (European University Institute), member of the Brazilian Bar Association. Dr. Fabiano de Andrade-Correa is a lawyer and legal specialist in sustainable development law and policy with experience across the public, private and international sectors. He currently works at Senior Counsel with the World Bank’s International and Environmental Law Unit, having previously worked with the Food and Agriculture Organizations, the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Development Programme, and contributed to projects in several countries regarding climate change, biodiversity, environmental law and policy, land, human rights, trade and responsible investments. Dr. Andrade-Correa volunteers as the co-Chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s World Commission on Environmental Law (Climate Change Law Specialist Group), where he leads a project on the legal aspects of Nature Based Solutions, and as Lead Counsel on Peace, Justice and Governance with the CISDL.
