LL.M. in International and Comparative Environmental law (University of Limoges), LL.M. in Business law (University of Yaoundé 2). Adv. Kounga is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Yaoundé 2, where he researches access to genetic resources and private law. He has worked with the CISDL on several projects pertaining to biodiversity, access and benefits sharing, sustainable development and climate change. He has worked with the International Development Law Organization’s Green Economic Law Working Group on the Legal Preparedness for achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets and with the International Institute for Environment and Development on the issue of land grabs for conservation in Cameroon. His research interests include biodiversity law, climate law, green economy, land tenure, human rights laws and extractive industries. Currently, he works with the Deutsche Gesellshaft fur Internationale Zusammernarbeit (GIZ) as a technical legal advisor for forestry, environment, agriculture and climate change projects.
